Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hendley are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Hendley, to James Walea Rogers, Jr. Mr. Rogers is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Rogers, Sr. of Claxton.

The bride-elect graduated from West Laurens High School in Dublin and continued her education at Georgia Southern University and South University to obtain a doctorate in Pharmacy. Lauren is employed by Forest Heights Pharmacy in Statesboro. Miss Hendley is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Ray Mercer of Twin City and the late Dr. and Mrs. John Ell Hendley of Millen.

The future groom graduated from Pinewood Christian Academy in Bellville and continued his education at Georgia Southern University with a degree in Construction Management. James is employed with Evans General Contractors in Savannah as Assistant Project Manager. Mr. Rogers is the grandson of Mrs. Socorro DeLoach and the late Dr. Lionel DeLoach of Glenville and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Rogers of Bellville.

The wedding is set for October 12, 2024, at 6 p.m. at Grove Point Plantation in Savannah. A reception will follow at the same location. Formal invitations will be sent.
