The Moose Lodge 1930 is revving up for a day of fun, family, and fundraising at this year’s highly anticipated Poker Run Spring Fling set for Saturday, June 21, beginning at 10 a.m. This community-centered event offers something for everyone — and most importantly, all proceeds will benefit The Sunshine House Child Advocacy Center, a vital local resource providing support and services for children and families affected by abuse.

“The Poker Run Spring Fling event, hosted by the Swainsboro Moose Lodge, is incredibly meaningful to The Sunshine House,” said Program Coordinator Brandi Hood. “As a nonprofit, we rely on the generosity of our community to provide free services to families affected by child abuse. This event will significantly aid our mission to provide counseling, victim services, and court support to families when they need us most.”

At the heart of the festivities is a 90-mile charity motorcycle ride, with entry fees set at $25 for drivers and $12 for riders. Registration includes lunch and admission to the live concert by the Southern Outlaw Band, making it a meaningful way for bikers to give back while enjoying the open road.

Following the ride, the family-friendly Spring Fling kicks into high gear with live music, food vendors, arts and crafts, and kid-friendly attractions like a bouncy house, train rides, a dunk tank, and slides. The fun-filled atmosphere is designed to bring the whole community together for a great cause.

“I was thrilled when Harley from the Moose Lodge called and offered to put together a benefit fundraiser for us,” Hood added. “Events like the Poker Run directly support our mission, ensuring we can keep our doors open and our programs running. I am filled with immense gratitude!”

The event will feature a live performance by the Southern Outlaw Band, sure to keep spirits high as attendees celebrate generosity and community spirit.

Organizers encourage early participation and remind guests that every dollar raised goes directly to The Sunshine House, an organization committed to protecting and advocating for the most vulnerable members of the community.

“Seeing our community come together to make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by child abuse reaffirms my commitment to this calling,” Hood said. “It’s a reminder that, together, we can create a brighter future and healing for these families.”
