Mulliken…90 and going strong

Harold Mulliken celebrated his 90th birthday August 2 at Swainsboro Country Club with his golf buddies, following a game of golf. Mulliken turned 90 on July 30.

He was born in Dania, Fla. He served in the US Army as a military police, protecting three Generals in Hidelberg, Germany from 1954-57.

Mulliken came to Emanuel County for many years to hunt. His love of hunting helped him make the decision to move to this area. “All deer is for the table,” said Mulliken. He and his wife, Phyllis moved to Adrian in 1997.

He has been playing golf with the ‘Old Farts’ since the late 90’s. Every year, since he turned 81, Mulliken has been shooting his age on the golf course. He also ran marathons and 5K’s for years.

Mulliken contributes his longevity to ‘good clean living’.
