Mrs. Nora Gazelle “Cissy” McNure, 68, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025, at her residence in Franklin, NC. Services were held Wednesday, June 25, at 11 a.m. at Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Tom Akins officiating. Interment followed at the Mount Zion Primitive Baptist. Family received friends for an hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers were Ty Powell, Barry Powell, Josh Frederick, Rodney Martin, Robert Scott and Jamey Toler. Honorary Pallbearers were Bobo Frederick, Eddie Flanders and Jimmy Blizzard.

Cissy was born November 10, 1956, in Macon, to the late Joseph Cedric and Carrie Evelyn Hudson. She was employed with the Georgia Department of Transportation as a District Planning and Programming engineer until her retirement in 2016. Cissy was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, and had attended other beloved churches, Oaky Grove, Mt. Olive, Corinth and New Bethel. Mrs. McNure is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Cherry Evelyn Hudson Blizzard; brother, Joseph Cedric “Bubba” Hudson, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Nora Ethelene Harrison Powell Schwalls and Cordy Lanier Powell and Sam Schwalls; and her paternal grandparents, Robert Washington Hudson and Mary Elizabeth Edwards Hudson.

Mrs. McNure is survived by her husband, Roger McNure of Franklin, NC; children, Amy (Eric) Coleman Lizama of Pensacola, FL, Melissa (Rowan) Leigh Coleman of Atlanta, Lindi McNure Vickers and Ryan Patrick McNure, both of Macon; and grandchildren, Sydney Leigh Vickers, Michael Gage Vickers, both of Claremont, CA, Amelia Grace Lizama and Kyler Bane Lizama, both of Pensacola, FL; siblings, Lanier (Peavy) Hudson and Cathy (David) Howard; and several nieces and nephews.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
