Optim Health System welcomes Interventional Pain Management Specialist to serve Swainsboro

Optim Health System is thrilled to announce the arrival of Dr. Michael Appeadu, MD, a highly skilled interventional pain management specialist, to the Swainsboro community. Dr. Appeadu will begin offering his expert services at the Optim Swainsboro clinic, located at 119-B Victory Dr., Swainsboro, GA, 30401, starting Thursday, January 4, 2024.

Recognized for his extensive expertise and commitment to patient care, Dr. Appeadu obtained his Medical Doctorate from Emory University School of Medicine following his undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College. His exceptional medical journey includes an internship at Kettering Medical Center, residency training at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial, and a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at Emory University School of Medicine.

A distinguished member of various esteemed medical associations, including the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Dr. Appeadu brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Swainsboro region.

Dr. Appeadu’s approach to patient care is centered on delivering the highest quality treatment tailored to each individual’s needs. “My goal is to provide comprehensive, personalized care using advanced diagnostic techniques and cutting-edge interventional pain management methods,” stated Dr. Appeadu. “I am committed to helping patients in Swainsboro and surrounding areas find relief from pain and enhance their quality of life.”

Specializing in an array of conditions such as sciatica, arthritis and aging pain, degenerative disc pain, neuropathic pain, and more, Dr. Appeadu offers a range of procedures including epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablations, nerve blocks, and image-guided joint injections.

Starting January 4, 2024, Dr. Michael Appeadu will hold clinic hours at the Optim Swainsboro clinic on the first Thursday of each month from 8 am to 11 am, with plans to expand availability to the first and third Thursdays of the month in the near future. He also holds clinic in Dublin and Sandersville.
