Patricia Chester NeeSmith, age 67, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at her residence in Lyons. Funeral service was held Monday, February 24, at 1 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel of Metter. Interment followed at Lake Cemetery. Family received friends Monday, February 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel of Metter.

Patricia was born July 19, 1957, in Houston, Texas, to the late Roy Burrell and Elavie Choate Burrell. After graduating from Swainsboro High school and studying at Swainsboro Technical College, Patricia worked as a licensed practical nurse and was employed as a hospice and home health nurse for 25 years. She enjoyed painting, watching the news and keeping up with politics, singing karaoke, bird watching, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Ms. NeeSmith is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell Wayne NeeSmith; and brother, Michael Burrell.

Those who will cherish Patricia’s memory are her children, Alecia (Christopher) Svoboda, Christa (Alex) Antunez and Stephen (Amanda) Chester; brother, Blaine (Pam) Burrell; sister, Carla (Billy) Reynolds; grandchildren, Drew Burns, Skylar Smits, Breeanna Davila, Gracie Davila, Landon McDonald, Mason Miller, Jeremiah Miller, Lincoln Antunez, Nash Antunez, Julianna and Josie; and several nieces and nephews.

Kennedy Funeral Homes, Hooks Chapel, of Metter is in charge of the arrangements.
