Peewee Hooks, Sr., age 70, of Twin City, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at his residence. Visitation was held Friday, January 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
Peewee was born July 21, 1955, in Oak Park, to the late Roy Moxley and Ollie Mae Hooks. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and also working with his hands. Peewee crafted many things from leather and would often be found tinkering and working in his garage. More than all, he cherished the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great grands. Mr. Hooks is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Buddy Hooks; great-grandchildren, Kylan and Kyler; aunt and uncle, Remus and Claire Mae.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Ann Davis; son, Pete Hooks; daughters, Ruth Ann Gillis (Dewayne) and Mae Hatten; sisters, Jean Amerson and Sue Rigdon; grandchildren, Kane Hatten (Katelynn), Cayden Hopkins (Hannah) and Kaleb “Bubbie” Hopkins (Dakota); great-grandchildren, Lydia Hatten, Gabriel Hatten, Messiah “Manman” Brown and Colton Hopkins; and many friends.
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
