10 sentenced in superior court


Ten defendants were sentenced in Emanuel County Superior Court’s April 2021 term held last week.

According to paperwork filed by the Emanuel County Clerk of Court’s office on Tuesday, June 29:

Tiffany Latosha Daniels negotiated a guilty (Alford) plea on one count aggravated assault/family violence in case 21-CR-49. She was sentenced to 10 years probation. Daniels also received a $50 fine.

Robert Tracy Hutcheson negotiated guilty (Alford) pleas on one count possession of meth and one count possession of a drug-related object in case 21-CR-176. He was sentenced to a total of three years probation and fined $50.

Keyondre Smith, in case 21-CR-164, negotiated a guilty (Alford) plea on one count criminal use of an item with an altered ID mark. For this, the defendant was sentenced to five years probation and fined $50.

Charlie Lambry, in case 21-CR-117, negotiated a guilty plea on one count aggravated animal cruelty. He was sentenced to five years probation and fined $50.

Nicholas Alexander Gladin negotiated guilty pleas on two counts sale of methamphetamine, one count possession of methamphetamine, one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, one count possession of drug-related objects, and one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Gladin was sentenced to 35 years, the first six of which must be served in confinement and the remainder on probation. He also received a $50 fine. This case was 21-CR-110.

The remaining five defendants’ case files were finalized with the clerk’s office the following day, June 30. Paperwork indicates that:

Mack George Odum negotiated a guilty (Alford) plea on one count possession of meth in case 21-CR-166. He was sentenced to three years probation and fined $50.

Jeremiah Daniel Porter, in case 21-CR-91, negotiated guilty pleas on one count possession of contraband by an inmate, one count possession of meth, and one count possession of marijuana (less than an ounce). Porter was sentenced to eight years probation and fined $50.

Lannie Morris, in case 19-CR-120, negotiated guilty (Alford) pleas on two counts possession of meth and one count DUI–drug. The defendant was sentenced to five years probation and fined $1,000.

Jaquan Shyhene Mainer, in case 21-CR-189, negotiated guilty (Alford) pleas on one count Violation of Street Gang Terrorism & Prevention Act as well as one count aggravated assault. Mainer was sentenced to 15 years, five to serve, and received a $50 fine.

Joshua Walker Purvis, in case 21-CR-26, negotiated guilty (Alford) pleas on one count possession of meth, two counts giving false information to a law enforcement officer, one count distracted driving, and one count suspended license. He was sentenced to six years probation with credit being received for time served in custody. He also received $115 total in fines: $50 for the possession of meth charge, $50 for the distracted driving charge, and $15 for a seatbelt violation.
