11 true bills served by grand jury

The January 2023 term of the Emanuel County Grand Jury reconvened Tuesday, February 28, 2023. Paul Dorsett served as foreperson and Kaitlyn Arnold served as clerk. John Allen Bailey served as bailiff.

The grand jury considered 16 bills of indictment submitted by the District Attorney, involving 19 defendants and returned 11 true bills and five no bills.

Adam Lloyd Hackle, II one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute,

Nazarene Martin one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute,

Dominic “Nick” Trevell Davis fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and driving while license was suspended,

Justin Ryan Coleman trafficking methamphetamine or amphetamine and sale of methamphetamine,

Thomas Hoyet Woods, III five counts of burglary in the second degree, two counts of theft by taking, and four counts of criminal damage to property in the second degree,

Brian Jerry Conner obstruction of an officer, possession of methamphetamine, failure to maintain lane, open container, and criminal trespass,

Tavarius Menquez Devouil two counts of fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, reckless driving, failure to carry a license and failure to wear a seat safety belt,

Legarion Gavonta Early two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of cruelty to children in the first degree, false imprisonment, and robbery by force,
