2022 Economic Outlook Luncheon set for March 31

East Georgia State College will host its 2022 Economic Outlook Luncheon on Thursday, March 31 inside the Jean Anderson Morgan (JAM) Student Center Multipurpose Gym. The event is sponsored by the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Chamber of Commerce & Joint Development Authority. Check-in and a networking session will begin at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch and the presentation at noon.

Taylor Worley will be the guest speaker. He is a Research Professional II at the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business with the Simon S. Selig Jr. Center for Economic Growth. He earned both his Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from the University of Georgia in 2005 and his Master of Public Administration in 2021. Worley has been a full-time UGA employee and part-time graduate student since 2018. He has served in his current position researching aspects of Georgia’s economy with the Selig Center for one year.

The Georgia Economic Outlook series annually draws several thousand influential business and governmental leaders to events around the state. As the Terry College of Business’s most visible public service unit, the Selig Center conducts research on economic, demographic, and social issues related to Georgia’s current and future growth. As such, this popular program has become the most comprehensive and detailed look at the future economy in Georgia.

Tickets for the luncheon are available online at www.ega.edu/eol2022 or by contacting Angie Williams at 478-289-2367. Tickets are $25 per person or $200 for a table of eight. The deadline for registration is no later than 5 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2022.
