22 make honor lists at Georgia Southern University


Georgia Southern University announced its dean’s list and president’s list recipients for Spring 2022 semester on May 24. According to the Statesboro institution, 22 students from Emanuel County are among a pool of approximately 5,400 individuals earning honor status.

Locals on the dean’s list include: exercise science major Calissa Mason, elementary education major Shandreka Hill, and history major Samantha Peebles, all of Swainsboro; exercise science major Brianna Aldrich, psychology major Mia Ellis, psychology major Seth Frew, management major Kaleb Kennedy, marketing major Career McGahee, art major Jerica Scott, political science major Jermiah Williams, and accounting major Zade Williford, all of Twin City; psychology major Brandon Moore and supply chain management major James Wilson, both of Adrian; finance major Carlton Bishop of Garfield; and management major Gracee Miller, exercise science major Alivia Smith, and communicative sciences and disorders major Graci Smith, all of Kite.

In order to make the dean’s list, Georgia Southern requires students to maintain a 3.5 grade point average while enrolled in 12 or more credit hours per semester.

Locals on the president’s list include: accounting major Kerri Close, health and physical education major Madison Hancock, accounting major Alexis Gladden, and construction management major Tiernan Johnson, all of Swainsboro; economics major America Maldonado of Twin City; and criminology major Jaylee Bird of Garfield.

In order to make the president’s list, GSU requires students to have at least a 4.0 GPA and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
