24 make honor lists at GSU

Georgia Southern University announced its dean’s list and president’s list recipients for Fall 2021 semester on February 4. According to the Statesboro institution, 24 students from Emanuel County are among a pool of approximately 5,600 individuals earning honor status.
Locals on the dean’s list include: elementary education major Megan Fleming, mechanical engineering major Madison Moore, and political science major Samantha Peebles, all from Swainsboro; child/family development major Jacob Strickland, mechanical engineering major Jason Martin Jr., accounting major Zade Williford, psychology major Mia Ellis, and exercise science major Kenda Pierce, all of Twin City; computer engineering major Gage Futile and psychology major Brandon Moore, both of Adrian; and dual enrollment major Jaylee Baird, computer science major Joshua Melchor Sr., and information technology major Cameron Finch.
In order to make the dean’s list, Georgia Southern requires students to maintain a 3.5 grade point average while enrolled in 12 or more credit hours per semester.
Locals on the president’s list include: finance major Carlton Bishop of Garfield; economics major Jeremy Ellington, accounting major Charlsey Kelly, account major Alexis Gladin, accounting major Kerri Close, exercise science major Jada Downer, exercise science major Jency Stevens, and Cameron Hadden (major unspecified), all of Swainsboro; and economics major America Maldonado, art major Jerica Scott, and child/family development major Brianna Aldrich, all of Twin City.
In order to make the president’s list, GSU requires students to have at least a 4.0 GPA and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
