26 indicted by grand jury


An Emanuel County grand jury indicted 26 individuals last week. The July 2021 term saw the district attorney’s office present 16 bills of indictments for consideration, and the grand jury returned true bills for all cases.

William Jammal Givens, Jachon Tydarian Mills, and Odis Rushing Jr. were indicted on one count malice murder, one count felony murder, two counts aggravated assault, six counts violation of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, and two counts possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

These three individuals are all allegedly connected to the rolling shooting that took place on U.S. 1 Bypass in Dellwood back in December of last year.

Jerel Akil Bostic, Da’Korey Damon Somerville, and Timothy Frank Wright were indicted on one count felony murder, one count armed robbery, one count aggravated assault, one count violation of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act, and one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

These three men are all allegedly connected to a shooting that took place in March 2019 on Gumlog Road in Swainsboro.

Michael Shane Allen was indicted on one count aggravated assault (family violence), one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, one count exploitation and intimidation of an elder person, one count battery (family violence), and one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Brian Paul Ashley was indicted on one count aggravated sexual battery, four counts child molestation, and one count enticing a child for indecent purposes.

Ronnie Gene Sherrod was indicted on nine counts child molestation, one count criminal attempt to commit a felony (aggravated child molestation), and one count possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

Crystal Lynn Akridge, also known as Crystal Akridge Lane, Javec Antoine King, Justin Tal Nasworthy, and Joshua Oshie Pryor were all indicted on one count armed robbery, one count aggravated assault, and one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Akridge/Lane and Pryor both were each indicted on one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon as well.

Russell Clinton Givens Jr. was indicted on one count aggravated assault (family violence).

Dakota Edward Farrow was indicted on two counts aggravated assault, one count criminal damage to property in the second degree, and one count simple battery (family violence).

Christopher Ferninard Cuyler was indicted on one count first-degree burglary, one count aggravated stalking, one count interference with government property, and one count obstruction of an officer.

Jamie Lee Hagin, Devin Allen Sikes, and Kasey Allen Sikes were all indicted on one count trafficking methamphetamine, one count possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, one count criminal use of an article with an altered identification mark, and possession of hydrocodone. Kasey Sikes was also indicted on one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Dakota James Driggers and Justin Mark Driggers were both indicted on one count trafficking methamphetamine and one count seatbelt violation. Dakota Driggers was also indicted on one count crossing guard lines with drugs and one count possession of a drug-related object while Justin Driggers was indicted on one count suspended license, one count taillight violation, and one count improper brake lights.

Warren Clifton Williams, also known as Clifton Warren Williams, was indicted on one count first-degree burglary.

Quinton Tytan Pearson Jr. was indicted on two counts third-degree child cruelty and one count aggravated battery (family violence).

Goodwin Darnelle Horton was indicted on one count obstruction of an officer.

Jimmy Upchurch was indicted on one count conversion of payments for real property improvements.

Dwain Lakeith King was indicted on one count rape, two counts incest, one count aggravated child molestation, one count aggravated sodomy, and two counts child molestation.

There being no further business, the grand jury recessed.
