4-H sets trunk-or-treat for October 30

Emanuel County 4-H will hold a free trunk-or-treat for the community on Saturday, October 30, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Varner 4-H Clubhouse in Swainsboro.

Currently, the local 4-H club is looking for groups and businesses that would like to participate as a “trunk” and give out candy to the kids. Extension agent Jakyn Tyson says this would be a great opportunity for officer teams, advisory boards, and partners to conduct an outreach activity.

Dressing up and decorating cars is not required but is encouraged. Prizes will be given to winners of the Best Decorated Trunk Contest. All themes should be kid-friendly and not frightening.
