40th Class Reunion for Swainsboro High School Held

Fun was had by all at the 40th class reunion of Swainsboro High School’s Class of 1982. Classmates and guests met at the Swainsboro Country Club on September 24th, 2022. As classmates and friends arrived, many friendships were rekindled, and lots of laughter could be heard. Following a time of reminiscing, a welcoming was given by John Paul Rogers, and a blessing was given by George Turner. The guests enjoyed Real South BBQ provided by classmate Teresa Powell Coleman and her husband Tim. After a wonderful meal, the class gathered for a class picture. More socializing, memories shared, dancing, and photos were continued throughout the evening. Music was provided by Joey Crapps, son of classmate Catherine Roberts Crapps. There were 86 people in attendance, 56 of those were classmates of the Class of 1982. Also joining them for dinner and fun was Ms. Syvetta Drisdom Young. The 1982 class was Ms. Syvetta’s first year of teaching, and they have always had a special bond with her.
