A night full of racing

Swainsboro Raceway’s Firework 100 was held on Saturday, July 2. After the afternoon showers passed, the sky cleared and the racers and the fans showed up big time for a night of racing and a fireworks show sponsored by Rusty Lane and the folks at South Auction.

The talent was on display on the track and that was the real show. Winning the Smith’s Roll Offs Crown Vic Jr.’s division was none other than BB Burgamy in the #77 car. In the Daniels Chevrolet Road Warrior division, winning the race was Jason Floyd in the #56 car. The next division was the Rustic Grill Street Stock, taking home the title was Bob Robertson driving the #19 car. Then there was the Southland Insurance 602 where Dustin Watkins dusted other to win the race in the #4 car. Next the Lynn & Bobs Crown Vic Pro race was a good one as #99 driven by Chase Linfield took home the crown. The Southern Clash Late Models raced as further into the night it got, #71 Jim Rodgers was the champ. Finally, things rounded up with the 440’s as Jonathon Flowers won it to finish up the night!

The next event will bring Schaefer’s Southern National Super Late Models on Sunday, July 24. Hope to see ya there!
