Funeral services for Amanda Joy Lee, 29 of Metter, were held Friday, January 28, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Hillside Church of God in Cobbtown with Reverend Danny Lee and Reverend Alvin Radford officiating. Interment followed at Primitive Grove Cemetery. The family received friends Friday, January 28, 2022 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Hillside Church of God. She passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Candler County Hospital following an extended illness.
Ms. Amanda Joy Lee, also known as “Daddy’s Girl,” was born September 7, 1992 in Gastonia, North Carolina to Joseph T. Lee and Marsha O’Dell. She graduated with Metter High School’s Class of 2011, and she was a member of Hilllside Church of God in Cobbtown, where she taught children’s Sunday school, was a strong prayer warrior, and singing in the choir. Ms. Lee loved music and people. She was the head cashier at Bi-Lo in Metter and head cheese straw assistant at MaMa E’s Bakery. Ms. Lee was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Joseph A. Lee, Iris Eloise Lee, and Eula Mae Lee as well as maternal grandparents Reverend Glenn W. O’Dell and Lerice J. O’Dell.
Survivors include her parents, Joseph T. and Marsha Lee of Metter; brother, Joseph H. Lee Jr. of Metter; sister, Tiffany L. Lee of Metter; special nieces and loves of her life, Sophia Lee and Olivia Lee; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers were Britt Lee, Rick Miller, Harry O’Dell, John O’Dell, Wyatt O’Dell, Dakota O’Dell, and John O’Dell Jr.
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
