Annamelia L. Oglesby, 91


Graveside services for Annamelia L. Oglesby, 91, resident of Midville, were held Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 3 p.m. at Lamb’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Christopher Shoemaker officiating. The family received friends following the service at the graveside. She died Friday, April 9, 2021 at her residence.


The daughter of the late Rufus L. Lamb and Eva Outlaw Lamb, Mrs. Annamelia L. Oglesby was a native and lifelong resident of Emanuel County. She was a homemaker and a member of Lamb’s Chapel United Methodist Church, where she had served as church treasurer for 54 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James E. Oglesby; and two sisters, Mary Garrett and Helen Thigpen.


Survivors include son Michael L. Oglesby d;aughters Diane Morris(John) and Patrice Toulson (William); grandchildren Livia Daniel (Rett), Chelsey Patat (Tripp), Vanessa Morris, Kirstyn Morris, and Willis Toulson; and great-granddaughter Ryley Daniel.


Pallbearers were Willis Toulson, Rett Daniel, Tripp Patat, James Arrington, Ernie Newton, Barry Wren, and Tommy Lamb.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lamb’s Chapel United Methodist Church or Lamb’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Connie Upton, P.O. Box 816, Wadley, Georgia 30477.


Tomlinson Funeral Home and Crematory of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
