ASDA to compete in Nashville
By Bree Wilson

"Howdy Ya'll" Allstar Dance Academy is heading to Nashville, Tenn. for an opportunity of a lifetime. It all began when ASDA performed at Disney World back in 2018 and their "I love Christmas" performance received rave reviews of a flawless performance. Walt Disney performing arts cast contacted Dance The World to make a recommendation to invite ASDA to their event in New York to perform on Broadway and in the heart of the city.
The students were so thrilled and began preparing immediately with their routines. COVID-19 swept thru the country and the hard work and the excitement took a turn with DTW having to cancel the event. Several other opportunities were presented, but all had to be canceled.
Every year the ASDA performance team travels to perform on big stages with several celebrities and booking agencies present. Dance The World is based out of Pennsylvania and welcomes dance students with a passion and desire to fulfill their dreams. This opportunity also gives each student a chance to add to their resume for their future college and job opportunities, outside of their school and other activities.
The ASDA performance team will begin their journey to Nashville, Tenn. staying at the Gaylord Opry Resort July 6th and return home July 10th. Upon arrival they will have some free time, but on July 7th the performances and rehearsals will begin. The students, along with hundreds more from around the world will take part in a master class taught by Daniella Karagach, the winner of Dancing with the Stars.
ASDA will present their award winning platinum and overall 1st place routine "Mind Your Own Biscuits And Life Will Be Gravy" which will be performed on the Grand Ole Opry stage. The ASDA students will also perform a choreographed routine to "Footloose" by Dance The World in front of The Bridgestone Arena with all of the dance students from all over the world. They will be attending in an all out country attire all the way down to the red glitter boots.
ASDA has also been invited recently to participate in the Credit Union Bowl this December in San Diego. The opportunities are definitely endless and they are so thankful.
“I could never express how very proud I am of each of my students. Their hard work, dedication, love, passion, encouragement and drive for each other is remarkable. Each one of them knows that God is always in control,” says Cherry Carruth.
