Be one of Back-to-School Movie Night’s first 150 attendees and receive special surprise

The Downtown Development Authority of Swainsboro is excited to host a Back-to-School Movie Night this Friday night, July 30, at The Boneyard in downtown Swainsboro. The feature presentation will be the new Tom & Jerry movie.

Unlike the Holiday Drive-In Movie the organization hosted in December, Back-to-School Movie Night will not require that spaces be reserved in advance. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for enjoying the movie on the lawn of The Boneyard. No vehicles will be allowed into the event area.

The Swainsboro Jaycees will provide free popcorn for attendees. No other concessions will be available; however, the DDA encourages those attending to take the opportunity to support local restaurants by picking up a “to-go” order to enjoy during the movie.

The movie will begin at dark, but attendees are encouraged to arrive a bit earlier to allow for plenty of time to pick up their popcorn and find a spot to sit. In addition, the DDA will have a special “back-to-school surprise” for the first 150 kids in attendance.
