Bernice Fennell, 68

Funeral services for Bernice Fennell, 68 of Swainsboro, were held Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Ervin Stapleton officiating. Interment followed at Lambs Cemetery. The family received friends Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Chapman Funeral Home. She passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mrs. Bernice Fennell was born March 29, 1953 in Swainsboro to the late Randolph Herrington and Bernice Jackson. She enjoyed traveling and loved to fish. She especially loved her family. Mrs. Fennell was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tarl Fennell; five sisters; and one brother.

Survivors include her son, Eric Herrington of Swainsboro; brother, Randy Nettles of Swainsboro; sisters, Rae Cowart of Cummings and Ellen Gay of Twin City; two grandchildren, Blake Herrington and Evan Herrington; one great-grandson; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers were Dustin Akridge, Brent Clifton, Ricky Jackson, and Ranzi Jackson.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
