Beta Beta meets in April

The Beta Beta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma held its year-end meeting on April 24, 2023, at the Sudie Fulford Center at East Georgia State College. The membership committee, chaired by Tammy Gray, presented seven key women educators for induction into the society.

New members include Megan Davis, Leah Frye, Devin Schwabe, and Sarah Tapley from Swainsboro; and Cassandra Donaldson, Monicca Bohannon, and Miranda Rigdon of Metter.

Mrs. Toni Terwilliger, membership chair, presented a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to Madison Grimm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Curt Grimm. Madison graduated from Emanuel County Institute and will graduate from East Georgia State College this month. She plans to pursue teaching as a career. She stated, “I’ve been teaching my whole life. My favorite playtime as a child was teaching the dolls, the stuffed animals, and anyone who would sit still!” Congratulations and best wishes to Madison as she fulfills her dream.

The Delta Kappa Gamma International Society promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education. The Beta Beta Chapter celebrated its 60th anniversary in February.
