METTER — As spring draws nearer and temperatures warm up, towns prepare for their respective infamous festivals. Nearby Metter is known for its Another Bloomin’ Festival, of course, and organizers have announced the 2022 event will take place Saturday, April 16.
For more than 25 years, thousands of visitors have gathered in Metter’s downtown park area for Another Bloomin’ Festival, a fun-filled day of shopping, browsing, socializing, food, games and more.
This festival is known for having 16,000 visitors with 30+ food vendors and 180+ arts & crafts/commerical vendors all in one day.
Another Bloomin’ Festival features a number of favorite events attendees have come to love over the years, including the Bloomin’ Bike Ride sponsored by Metter Kiwanis Club and the 5K Run and One Mile Fun Run/Walk benefiting Candler County’s Program for Exceptional Children. A favorite event for younger attendees is the community-wide Easter egg hunt sponsored by Metter Kiwanians as well.
Other events scheduled as part of this year’s Bloomin’ Festival include: a “Bloomin’ Fly-In,” Danny Johns Memorial Classic Car Cruise-In, the annual Bloomin’ Flower Show, and the Miss Bloomin’ Festival Pageant.
The 2022 festival will mark the 29th year of Bloomin’ fun.
Official hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
