BOE seeking public input

Ahead of current superintendent Dr. Kevin Judy’s retirement this summer, the Emanuel County Board of Education, along with the Georgia School Boards Association (GSBA), is now surveying the public for input regarding his replacement.
The GSBA is assisting Emanuel County Schools by conducting the preliminary steps in choosing a new superintendent for the system. GSBA will receive the applications and present all of them to the Emanuel County school board sometime after the application deadline of April 4, 2021. Meanwhile, the school board wants to hear from you—parents, guardians, employees, and any other members of the community—about what characteristics you believe the new superintendent should possess.
Members of the BOE ask that you take a few minutes of your time to complete the short survey, which can be found at the top of the district’s website (www.emanuel.k12.ga.us). A direct link to the survey is https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FNMK3D7.
A summary of the survey results will be given to the board for their use as the applications are reviewed and select candidates are interviewed.
