Bulldogs derail Montgomery County

By Justin Gray Due to weather, the ECI baseball team only got one game in the last week, and that was against bottom of the region Montgomery County, who has yet to win a region game. The Bulldogs came out and handled business as they knew they would. They took down Montgomery County in blowout fashion, winning the game 15-0 in five innings. Bryce Kearson started the game going three innings and striking out eight of nine batters, Andrew Chalkley finished the game going the three innings and striking out three, not allowing a single hit. Lawson Mercer and Charlie Rehberg both had big days going 2-3 and 2-4 at the plate. Mercer knocked in three runs in the game. The other two games were supposed to be played last week, but as mentioned, the weather had other plans. This week will be opposite of last week as the Bulldogs will play five games, they played two on Tuesday, April 18th against Montgomery County. They will play Wednesday, April 19th at Savannah Christian and Thursday, April 20th at home with doubleheader against Jefferson County. This is the last week of the regular season and your last chance to catch these Dawgs before the playoffs.
