Bunco Ladies Night helps fund local scholarships

On February 3, the Kappa Omega Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi hosted its annual Bunco Ladies Night with a goal to raise money for the club’s scholarship fund.

Each year, Beta Sigma Phi gives out two $1,000 scholarships to local senior girls. This year, the club raised more than $3,000 that will be used for these scholarships.

Hors d’oeuvres as well as punch and sangria for were served to guests, who enjoyed two rounds of bunco where each table had two winners. Additional items were raffled off during the event for those who purchased tickets.

Beta Sigma Phi would like to thank all who attended this year’s event.

Raffle items and gift prizes were donated by community members and local businesses. Event organizers are extremely grateful to the following businesses and organizations who gave plentiful donations; this event would not have been successful without their help: Ackyla Rodrigues, All the Fixins, Shades of Beauty, Ashley Love, B&K Southern Krafts, Berni’s, Bobby and Daisy Reeves, Cannoochee Catfish, Changes Salon, Exhale Salon, Citizens Bank, The Clucking Chicken, Crider Foods, Custom Furniture, Dale Webb, Dot’s Boutique, Gambrell Photography, The George’s Flower Shop, Gifts Galore Monograms and More, Golden Girls Spray Tan, Lynn & Bob’s BBQ, Martha & More, Merle Norman, My Stronghold Fitness, Shop Rite Pharmacy, Southern Sisters Monograms and More, Southern Craft Table, Southern Traditions, The Spa at CPR, The Bleu Belle Boutique, The Crossroads Chronicle, Twin City Drug, Wrens Southern Ladies and Gents, and Yard Master.

Beta Sigma Phi is an international organization that, at the local level, is extremely effective and strengthened through chapter programs and philanthropy such as raising funds to support local groups, businesses, or charities in the community.
