Did you or someone you know suit up for Swainsboro High School and don the Black and Gold with pride? Help spread the word—there will be an informal reunion for SHS athletic alumni in the near future.
Harold Scott, a former Tiger and an avid Swainsboro High athletic historian, says the meeting will take place during the last home football game of the 2021 regular season. According to the Tigers’ schedule, this will take place November 5, pitting Swainsboro against one of its long-time rivals, Vidalia. As always, kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. sharp.
“Anyone who has participated in any sport or coached at Swainsboro High School, Emanuel County Elementary and High, or was a cheerleader is welcome to attend,” Scott said. “Also, if an athlete has passed, a spouse, child, parent, or sibling is welcome to attend in their honor.”
The initial plan is a meet-and-greet tailgate before the game on Friday night and a get-together on Saturday, November 6. Any questions should be directed to Scott at firstname.lastname@example.org or via Facebook. Those planning to attend (either day) should make those intentions known so the planning committee can make arrangements accordingly.
