Celebrating community and family at Franklin

By Tamera Gromala

April is the beginning of spring and involves planting, growing, learning new things, and meeting new people. Local citizens had great fun at Swainsboro’s Franklin Memorial Library on Thursday, April 6th. In honor of celebrating family, the group took scraps of sanded wood left from odd projects and created their own family representation, including pets. Everyone painted, glued, “sticker”ed, tied and socialized.

If you enjoy meeting new people and building stronger community bonds, come out to the Franklin Memorial Library and try your hand at something new. More information on future activities can be found on the Franklin Memorial Facebook or website page.
