This company traces its beginnings to 1946 when Lloyd Thompson founded the business in Boonsboro, Maryland. They’ve served that small farming community for more than seven decades with a commitment to service and a reputation for strong family values. Today, ThompsonGas is one of the top 10 propane companies in the United States, providing propane services to residential and commercial customers nationwide and delivering fair propane prices consistently on an annual basis.
ThompsonGas has 1,100 employees and provides propane and propane appliances as well as service and installation of their products. The company was formerly TruFlame Gas Company, which was acquired by ThompsonGas this past September. The business still has the same employees that TruFlame had, and they all live in the local community. Although the name changed, it’s still the same local propane company with a goal to be the most trusted name in the industry.
