Charlie Cart visits Swainsboro Primary classrooms

Students at Swainsboro Primary School have enjoyed classroom visits by the Charlie Cart, a mobile kitchen on wheels complete with a sink and electricity, throughout this year.

This semester, students have cooked strawberry shortcake and Indian flatbread.

The Charlie Cart that has been patrolling the hallways of Swainsboro Primary School was purchased five years ago and funded by the Dairy Alliance and the Mill Creek Foundation.

Since the original purchase, all classes and projects have been funded by the Mill Creek Foundation. The Charlie Cart initiative as a whole provides students with hand-on, curriculum-aligned lessons on food preparation and cooking.
