The loving husband of the late Frances Lawrence Honeycutt entered into his eternal rest Saturday afternoon, July 17, 2021, at University Hospital McDuffie Campus.
Born March 13, 1946, to the late Reverend Charles Edward Honeycutt Sr. and the late Blanche York Powell, Mr. Charlie Edward Honeycutt Jr. grew up in Johnson County. In 1968, he married the love of his life, Frances Lawrence. Together, they built a lifetime of memories. They had a passion for fishing and would go as much as they could. When he retired after 25 years from Thermo King, there were very few times that you would see one without the other. They enjoyed 48 years together before God called her home.
Having a quiet but happy-go-lucky, laidback attitude, Mr. Honeycutt was generous to whoever had a need he could fill. A true family man, he had an absolute unwavering love for his family. He was so very thankful for the joy and pleasure of being with his family until the very end.
He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Jack Honeycutt, Pearl Smith, and Margaret Peebles.
Those left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Angie Cowart (Robert) and Cheryl Ash (G.B.); seven grandchildren, Josh Cowart, Logan Cowart, Emily Cowart, Ashley Story, Nichole Ash, Haley Story, and Brandon Story; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and more.
Pallbearers were Wayne Peebles, Donald Peebles, Danny Peebles, Joey Deboo, Terry Marsh, and Bill Williams.
Chapman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
