Memorial services for Cherry Gwendolyn Wilkerson, 69 of Twin City, will be held privately at a later date. She passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Cherry Gwendolyn Wilkerson was born September 7, 1952 in Swainsboro to the late Walter Gray Gordy and Vera Gladys Lawson Gordy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Wilkerson; daughter, Tracy Lynn Bird; sisters, Gloria Ann Davis, Geraldine Rich, and Terrie Averett; and brother, Charles Gordy.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Samantha Autumn Bird of Swainsboro, Christopher Bird Jr. of Augusta, and Roy Brandon Bird of Twin City; son-in-law, Chris Bird of Swainsboro; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of arrangements.
