Coleman sentenced in superior court


One defendant was sentenced in Emanuel County Superior Court last week.


Justin Coleman, in case 22-CR-032, negotiated guilty pleas on one count fleeing and attempting to elude and one count possession of methamphetamine. He was fined $5,000 and sentenced to 3 years probation.


In the same case, Coleman was charged with one count no proof of insurance and one count operating a vehicle without a valid tag. Both of those charges were deemed nol pros.


The paperwork for case 22-CR-032 was filed Tuesday, February 15, 2022 by the Emanuel County Clerk of Superior Court’s Office.


Prior to this, Coleman was sentenced in Emanuel County Superior Court in another case, 22-CR-18. He received 10 years probation in exchange for negotiated guilty pleas on two counts theft by taking.


The paperwork for that case was finalized Thursday, February 10, by the clerk’s office.
