Commemorative event being planned for EREA’s 50th anniversary


On March 17, 2021 at 10 a.m. in the Sudie A. Fulford Learning Center, Emanuel Retired Educators Association members met to update the ideas and suggestions for their organization’s 50th anniversary. The celebration planned for May 18, 2022 is tentatively scheduled to be held in the Richard L. Brown Dining Hall at East Georgia State College at noon.


Members present included Elease Turner, Bobbie Daughtry, Jean Schwabe, Syvetta Young, Carolyn Derden, John Derden, Lynn Torrance, and Kim Hooks. Erma Jenkins and Rhunette Brinson were absent.


The next planning meeting will be held May 12 at 10 a.m. at the Sudie A. Fulford Learning Center.
