Joleigh Dean Coxwell can now call herself a pageant queen twice over this year! With her latest pageant win, she has won two crowns in the last two weeks.
Joleigh, an 8-year-old from Garfield, traveled to Metter this past Saturday, March 20, and competed in the 2021 Bloomin’ Festival Pageant held inside the Candler County Board of Education Auditorium. She competed in the Petite Miss division for contestants ages 7 to 9 and edged out five other girls for the win. She received a beautiful rose gold crown, an embroidered sash, a bouquet of flowers, and a trophy. As Petite Miss Bloomin’ Festival, Joleigh will ride in this year’s festival parade on April 3. She will also crown next year’s winner.
About the win, Joleigh says she felt “very surprised.” Joleigh added that she loves pageants because they’re fun, allow her to get “fixed up,” and be on stage.
The daughter of Josh and Devin Coxwell of Twin City also won the title of 2021 Miss TCE Princess. That particular pageant was held Friday, March 12, at the school.
Joleigh has competed in several pageants throughout the years, including the Garfield Cookout Festival Pageant, Miss Twin City, the Pine Tree Festival Pageant.
In 2019, she was crowned TCE Little Princess, Miss Twin City Princess, Little Miss Garfield Cookout, and Little Miss Pine Tree.
She will next compete in the Miss Vidalia Onion Pageant on April 10 and Miss Pine Tree Festival on May 1.
Joleigh is in Judy Gay’s second grade class at TCE. She has two brothers, Gauge and Micah, as well as two sisters, Sarah Laine and Willa Grace.
