Danny Cleveland Williams, 74

Mr. Danny Cleveland Williams, 74, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Augusta University Medical Center. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2022, in the Richard N. Stanley Jr. Memorial Chapel followed with Masonic Rites in Minton’s Chapel Church Cemetery. The family received friends from 1:00 P.M. to 1:45 P.M. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Mr. Williams was born on March 30, 1948, in Kite, Georgia and was a graduate of Kite High School, South GA Technical College and Middle GA College. He served two years in the U.S. Army, and he retired from Bellsouth and the State of Georgia. He was affectionately known by his family and friends as “Danbo”. He loved spending time with family and friends, fishing, hunting, and just being outdoors in nature.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louie and Virginia Williams.

He is survived by his wife Brenda “Bennie” Hilyer Williams; his children, Monica (Scott) Lindsey, Nichole (Stan) Shepard, and Michael (Halie) Black; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Corbett, Tim Rowland, Gene Herin, David Cooper, Mick Brantley and Hannon Shepard. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Cedar Hill Hunting Club.

Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
