DEA basketball host fundraiser for Andy Callaway

On Saturday, January 21, David Emanuel Academy held a fundraiser game against Pinewood Christian Academy for Andy Callaway, longtime basketball coach, teacher, Athletic Director and alumni. Coach Callaway was diagnosed with cancer in late 2022. Pinewood Christian won both the boys and the girls games, but, this time, it didn’t matter - because they were all one. Coach Callaway, a huge Georgia Southern fan, said, “GATA - God Always Touches Andy, even when I don’t deserve it.” It was $8 to get in the game and all the proceeds went to benefit Coach Callaway. What a great day it was and a touching experience.
