DEA celebrates Senior Night in Winning Fashion
By Justin Gray

The DEA Eagles took the field for Senior Night against Covenant and it was a huge success. This group has only known success through their careers, practically living in the playoffs.
The football seniors recognized were Ace Ely, Racyn Faircloth, Riley Griner, Heath Johnson, Ebb McCullough, Jesse Moore, and Justin Newsome and the cheerleading seniors recognized were Lanna Douglas, Cora Ellington, Cayley Flanders, Alivia Fortner, Peyton Free, Ashlyn Hall, Molly Hammock, Bailey Overstreet, and Emma Taylor. After all the great festivities, it was time for kickoff.
The Eagles continued their domination by scoring first on a Jesse Moore 54-yard run and converted the two-point play on a Riley Griner to Randon Williams pass. The defense was stout all night once again and every drive, they gave it back to the offense quickly.
Clayton Hood ran in the next Eagle touchdown from 14 yards out. Griner hit Moore for the two-point conversion. Another stop led to another touchdown at the hands of Randon Williams hitting Jesse Moore on a 38-yard touchdown pass. Riley Griner hit Moore for the two-point conversion. The score was 24-0 fast and it seemed like the Eagles passing game was the plan of attack. Ebb McCollough got on a Covenant fumble and got the ball back to that high powered offense again. Racyn Faircloth punched the next one in on an eight yard run, the two-point play was unsuccessful.
The Eagles defense forced another turnover and Clayton Hood got on this one. The Eagles finished it off on a touchdown run from Heath Johnson and the two point was converted on a Ben Flanders run. The score was 38-0 and the scoring was done for the night, but the Eagles defense came up with two more interceptions in the hands of Tony Sutton and Racyn Faircloth.
This was the perfect way to celebrate Senior Night and all the Seniors got to enjoy it. The Eagles will celebrate this one and keep pushing forward. Next week they head to play Crisp in a big time region matchup.
