DEA Eagles untested through four games
By Justin Gray

The DEA Eagles Football team has been outstanding to say the least this year as they continue to win convincingly week in and week out. They keep putting up huge offensive and defensive numbers and it seems like they can't be stopped. This week they traveled to Westminster Christian Academy in Watkinsville to play.
The offense got the scoring going early on a 20-yard touchdown run by Jesse Moore, but the two-point try was unsuccessful. The defense continued their success and got the ball back to the offense. On the next drive, Racyn Faircloth added to the total on a 28-yard touchdown run and after the two-point was successful the score was 14-0. Faircloth continued to be a key factor, but it would be on defense this time as he intercepted the Westminster QB Tony Sutton and ran in a 35-yard touchdown after the interception. The two-point conversion was successful making the score 22-0.
The Eagles defense didn’t budge all night long, after getting the ball back to the offense Richard Braddy threw a 70-yard touchdown pass to Randon Williams making it 28-0. Justin Newsome then recovered a Westminster fumble. However, Westminster stopped the Eagles for a safety making the score 28-2. Shortly later, Riley Griner drove the Eagles down the field before he ran it in himself and after the two-point was successful the score was 36-2.
The Eagles got the ball back and Billy Martin ran it in from six yards out for his first touchdown of the night. Clayton Hood sealed the deal with an interception and the final score was 42-2. This win makes the Eagles 4-0 and like I mentioned earlier they haven’t been tested much. The Eagles get the off week to rest up and prepare for Covenant on October 6.
