DEA Football Gets Off to Hot Start

The DEA Eagles football team has built quite the program and has had the success to go along with it, but now it's time for this season, the past doesn’t matter. No more talk, it's time to talk with the pads and the Eagles did just that.

One of the games circled on the schedule was this one against John Hancock Academy. John Hancock had a good drive going into the redzone, but the Eagles would hold and force a field goal.

Here come the Eagles and they would score the first touchdown of the 2022 campaign on a 83 yard Jesse Moore kick return touchdown. The two-point conversion was successful on a pass from Riley Griner to Ebb McCollough to make the score 8-3.

The Eagles defense came up big again as Billy Martin intercepted a John Hancock pass to set the offense up. It wouldn’t take long before Moore found the endzone again on a four yard touchdown run. A failed two-point conversion would keep the score, 14-3.

Later in the game the defense would come up with a stop to get the ball back into Jesse Moore and that hot offense's hands.

The final blow of the night was delivered by none other than Jesse Moore on a 42 yard touchdown run and the two-point conversion was converted on a pass from Griner to Randon Williams to make the final 22-3.

The Eagles are elated at the hot start and can’t wait to get back into action as they head to Westwood this Friday night!
