DEA football improves 3-0 with road win
Updated: Sep 23, 2022
The Eagles headed to Windsor Academy Friday night in Macon for a big matchup. The Eagles have had a lot of success so far this season winning their first two games in dominant fashion for the most part.
The Defense has been a huge part of the winning and the Offense continues to have big play outbursts nearly every quarter. This DEA team is led by a big group of upperclassmen, who have won a lot of football games, and know how to lead. They’ve been in big time matchups like this, so they were poised to come out with a victory.
Right off the bat, the game got out to a bad start seeing the Eagles going down 8-0 early.
The Offense bounced back quickly though, tying the game on a Racyn Faircloth eight-yard touchdown run behind that big offensive line. The two point play was converted on a pass from Riley Griner to Ebb McCullough. The Eagles defense would recover from that drive and stuff the Windsor offense like we’ve seen them do time and time again. The Offense got the ball back and went to work with a sustaining drive that ended on a five-yard touchdown pass from Griner to Jesse Moore. They converted the two points and it was 16-8 Eagles. The stifling defense then forced a Windsor fumble recovered by John Kersey. This led to another Racyn Faircloth rushing touchdown, this one a 44 yarder. The two point was unsuccessful, making the score 22-8 Eagles. This was enough for them to hold on and the Eagles took the victory 22-14. With this win David Emanuel improves to a 3-0 record. They have the week off and will then host Twiggs Academy on September 30.
