DEA holds mini cheer camp

By Bree Wilson

The DEA annual mini-camp was held Friday, July 1 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Twenty-seven varsity cheerleaders, coached by Malia Ely and Stephanie McCullough, hosted the event.

DEA had over 50 campers participate with ages ranging from 3 to 14. They were divided into four different groups based on age. Each group learned two Eagle cheers and a dance. The campers also played games and made crafts. They ate pizza for lunch, had snacks twice and everyone got a t-shirt.

Parents and grandparents were invited to come watch the campers perform at 2:30 p.m. They had a large crowd in attendance and everyone had a great time!
