DEA rolls to easy win over Crisp

By Justin Gray

The DEA Eagles are undefeated still and playing better than ever. This week they hosted Crisp and it was time to dominate again with the Eagles scoring early and often.

After a defensive stop, Billy Martin returned a punt for 64 yards and the touchdown. After another stop, Randon Williams returned another punt 46 yards for the touchdown and it was an early 12-0 DEA lead and no offensive snaps.

When the offense did get the ball they drove it down and capped it off with a Racyn Faircloth 36-yard touchdown run. The two point play was converted when Riley Griner ran it in. On the next offensive drive, Jesse Moore took the ball 88 yards for six, Tony Sutton ran in the two pointer and put them up 28-0. Billy Martin continued his great game when he intercepted a Crisp pass. Moore scored another touchdown on a 52-yard run. Richard Braddy tossed it to Peyton Lee for the two point conversion. As if you haven’t heard his name enough, Billy Martin intercepted ANOTHER pass right before halftime.

To start the second half, Jesse Moore took the kickoff 78 yards for a touchdown making this the Eagles third special teams touchdown of the day. The score was now 42-0. After a Crisp fumble recovered by Jay Carter, Ebb McCollough took it in the end zone for a score. The offense got the ball again and scored on a Bryan Beasley’s one-yard run. The final score was 54-0. Another dominant performance and they still have a lot left to accomplish but the undefeated Eagles are ready. Next week they host Westminster School for a big matchup.
