DEA sweeps first round, falls short in second

In the first round, the DEA Eagles hosted John Hancock Academy and it was a fun sweep for the Eagles. Brody Fleming dominated JHA striking out 11 in only four innings. Fleming also hit a homer in the affair and the Eagles rolled to a 10-0 win.
In game two, it was just as dominant as they won 18-2. Richard Braddy tossed four innings for the Eagles striking out six. Clayton Hood went 3-3, two runs, a double, and a walk. After the sweep of JHA, they headed to Flint River Academy for round two.
Game one was an offensive slugfest and the Eagles fell 10-6. Hood went 2-3 while slugging a home run. Fleming started the game and went five innings, Cavan Calhoun and Riley Griner finished the game on the mound.
Game two was total opposite, a pitching duel to say the least. Braddy started this one going 4.1 innings, Clayton Hood finished the last two 2.2 innings, they combined for six strikeouts. Fleming was the star at the plate in this one going 3-3. The Eagles fell short of this one in 3-1, this ended their season. They finished with a 13-11 record and 6-3 in their district. A great season for the Eagles!
