Delores “Dee” M. Wright Frecker, 90

Funeral services for Delores “Dee” M. Wright Frecker, 90 of Swainsboro, were held Monday July 26, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Hawhammock Baptist Church with Reverend Cail Pressey and Reverend Mark Galo officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends Sunday, July 25, 2021 between 7 and 9 p.m. at the funeral home. She died Thursday evening, July 22, 2021 at Summer Willow.
Mrs. Delores “Dee” M. Wright Frecker, born in New Lexington, Ohio, and formerly of Newark, Ohio, had lived in Swainsboro for the past 44 years. She was born March 14, 1931 to Rathbone Monroe and Jane Maxwell French Wright. She was a member of Hawhammock Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years. During Upward seasons at Hawhammock, you could always count on “Mr. Bob” and “Mrs. Dee” every Saturday to make sure that all coaches and volunteers were fed and not in need of anything. She was an active member of the Emanual Medical Center Volunteers, a past member of the board of Classic Buffing and Polishing, a member of Dayspring Emmaus Community, and a member of the Swainsboro Country Club for many years. Mrs. Frecker loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting, and golfing. During her spare time, she always had either some type of needles or a golf club in her hand. You could always count on her to be a prayer warrior for any need. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert (Bob) H. Frecker; a son, David L. Spencer; two brothers, John and Richard Wright; and a sister, Bonnie McWherter.
Survivors include a son, Kevin (Beverly) Frecker of Mishawaka, Indiana; a daughter, Bethann (Edwin) Patrick of Swainsboro and daughter-in-law Beth Spencer (Drone) Hudson of Swainsboro, seven grandchildren, Ashley Spencer (Mark) Galo of Statesboro, Vincent (Laura) Spencer of Braselton, Tricia (Brian) Koch of Gilbert, Arizona, Tony Frecker (Lenndra Helm) of Middlebury, Indiana, Sean (Kayce) Patrick of Trion, Faith Patrick (John Lane) of Twin City, and Maggie Patrick (Austin) Denney of Clyo. Mrs. Frecker also had 12 great-grandchildren: Jarrett and Reed Frecker of Middlebury, Ainsley, Aspen and Andrew Koch of Gilbert, Adeline and Spencer Galo of Statesboro, Amelia and Davis Spencer of Braselton, Jaxson and Bradley Patrick of Trion, and Millie Kate Denney of Clyo. Mrs. Frecker is also survived by three sisters: Doris Van Fossen (her twin) of Newark, Jane (Jim) Wilson of Vincennes, Indiana, and Roseann Cook of Richmond, Virginia.
Pallbearers were Vincent Spencer, Anthony Frecker, Sean Patrick, Austin Denney, John Lane, Drone Hudson, and Billy Edenfield. Honorary pallbearers were Summer Willow residents and staff and the members of the Women of Wisdom Sunday School Class.
