Don’t miss out! Coming to the local library…

Franklin Memorial Library has two events coming up that may be of interest to the public.
The Friends of the Library will host its spring book sale this week. Dates will include May 11 through May 14, and books will start out as low as $0.25 each.
On May 23 at 5:30 p.m., the library will hold an herbal usage workshop at the Emanuel County Farm Bureau office (320 Lambs Bridge Road, Swainsboro). Jacquie Brasher will offer useful knowledge on how to grow and cook with herbs; local farmer Pete Frederickson will present rare information about native plants most people don’t know can be consumed while also giving tricks and tips on how to grow these plants; and Nora Weigl will talk about different herbs’ health benefits.
The public is invited to both of these events.
