Donald Duane Davis, 73

Graveside services for Donald Duane Davis, 73 of Swainsboro, were held Friday, March 19, 2021 at 4 p.m. at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Don Wilkes officiating. In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, the 6’ rule was enforced during the service.
He passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Donald Duane Davis was born August 17, 1947 in Macon to the late Jack Davis and Elizabeth Roberts Davis. Owner of Donald Davis Logging Company, he logged his entire life until retirement. His work was also his hobby. Mr. Davis’ favorite pastime was spending time with family and friends at the lake. He passed down his love of lake life to his grandkids. Mr. Davis enjoyed vacationing with his wife and grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Davis of Swainsboro; son, Dr. Anthony (Brandi) Davis of Swainsboro; daughter, Andrea Roberts of Swainsboro; brothers, Danny (Linda) Davis of Statesboro and Dennis (Theresa) Davis of Stillmore; grandchildren, Davis Lamb, Jack Davis, Andrew Lamb, and Anna Claire Davis; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
