Donna Hendrix, 62

A visitation service for Donna Hendrix, 62 of Swainsboro, will be held Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home. She passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Emanuel County Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Ms. Donna Hendrix was born December 5, 1959 in Swainsboro to the late Raymond Hendrix Jr. and Vivian Hudson Hendrix. She graduated with David Emanuel Academy’s Class of 1977 and went on to attend both Swainsboro Technical School and East Georgia College. She worked as a paralegal in Swainsboro and the surrounding areas. Before MS struck her body, she enjoyed playing her black, baby grand piano, drawing, painting, going to the beach, and making memories with her children. She loved the holidays; Christmas was always her favorite. Ms. Hendrix had a heart for animals and was a member of ASPCA. She was of the Baptist faith, and she was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Stephen Hudson Hendrix, Timothy Wayne Hendrix, and Andrew Blake Hendrix.

Survivors include her children, Jennifer Price Kelly (Demones), Ryan Price (Kim), and Brittan Kendall, all of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Charsley and Tyler Kelly, both of Swainsboro, as well as Harper Kendall of Millen; sisters-in-law, Judy Hendrix of Swainsboro and Jean Hendrix of Cleveland; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Swainsboro/Emanuel County Animal Shelter, 343 Market Street, Swainsboro, Georgia 30401.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Emanuel County Nursing Home and PruittHealth Hospice for their care of Ms. Donna Hendrix.
