‘Donuts with Grown-ups’ coming to SPS as part of book fair

The Scholastic Book Fair visits Swainsboro Primary School annually, and this year will be no different. The event highly anticipated by students began Monday, March 21, and will continue through this Friday, March 25. A special event, “Donuts with Grown-ups,” will take place as part of the book fair.

Parents and guardians will be able to attend the fair from 7:35 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. as well as after 3:15 p.m. each day with the exception of Thursday afternoon.

The “Donuts with Grown-ups” celebration will provide an opportunity for adults to come shop while enjoying a special treat with their child in the courtyard.

Dates and times are as follows:

• Kindergarten — Wednesday, March 23, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.

• First grade — Thursday, March 24, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.

• Second grade — Friday, March 25, from 7:30 to 8:30 .m.

Parents/Guardians should enter the library through the courtyard entrance by the flagpoles in front of Swainsboro Primary. Safety of students, the school notes, will be top priority. Parents/Guardians are not to enter any portion of the building aside from the library, including classrooms or the lunch room.
