Dublin-Laurens to celebrate heritage of city’s namesake with Saint Patrick’s Day events

DUBLIN — Saint Patrick’s Day will be here in a pinch, and Dublin-Laurens County has big plans! The festivities began February 15 and will last until “Super Satuday,” March 19. Some events, like the Miss Saint Patrick’s Scholarship Pageant and the Pig in the Park BBQ Championship, for example, have already come and gone, but there remain plenty of activities this week and next.
Dublin Country Club will host the Esterseals–Century 21 Durden & Kornegay Golf Classic March 11, and Southern Pines Regional Park will host Saint Patrick’s Irish with pickleball tournaments, pub nights, scavenger hunts, and even Leprachaun Road Races. A visit to Dublin this month is worth the hop, skip and jump to get there!
For more information, see DublinStPatricks.com. The Saint Patrick’s Parade will be held in downtown Dublin at 10:30 a.m. March 19.
